Fear 3 is due out this may, finally i got something to show,
around the 0:22 mark where the tower is crumbling down, the full shot is longer than that, and 1:50 mark where you see those scavengers disintegrating, also the fire in the background.

finally, got a release date: March 22, 2011, can’t wait till the game comes out, why? As you might have read before, I worked on the cinematics for the game. It’s gonna be pretty awesome, can’t wait to be able to show it off.

right and in other news, more geeky news that is, finally got my phone updated to android 2.2, albeit a few months late, but still nice to have none the less, i have the samsung galaxy s btw.
Montreal-based visual effects studio Modus FX served as the lead facility for Duncan Jones’ upcoming action thriller Source Code, scheduled for release on April 1. Source Code tells the story of a U.S. soldier who wakes up in the body of another man and discovers he’s part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train – forced to relive the final 8 minutes of the incident over and over again until he finds the perpetrator. This December Modus FX delivered over 150 shots for the film, including complex digital crowd shots, CG trains, environments and dramatic pyrotechnics.

been using houdini quite a bit at work, still not very good at it though, does take a while to learn it, but it seems like a very powerful too, although missing some of the nice pre-made tools in 3ds max or maya, houdini makes it up by letting you create your own tools easily inside the software itself. and it seems like all the studios are jumping on the bandwagon that is houdini, everyone is looking for houdini fx TDs. Might be a good software to invest some time into and learn.

got a few friends from VFS who worked on the film too. the effects looks awesome, although the movie, i felt, was not as good as the original. not only that, the music is just FANTASTIC, like, it just works perfectly! Can’t wait till the blu-ray comes out for this movie!
i made another blog! yay!! i know, i can barely maintain this one with regular updates, but hopefully these 2 blogs will give me more motivation to keep both of them updated.
